Dear Stan,This week three Muslim rioters in Calgary pled guilty and were sentenced for an anti-Semitic riot last July that sent a Jewish family to the hospital.As you will surely remember, 800 pro-Hamas protesters had mustered on the steps of Calgary’s city hall. They were chanting their anti-Israel and anti-Canada slogans. But then they saw a Jewish family across the street, peacefully counter-protesting. And that’s when a mob of Muslim extremists crossed the road and beat the Jews so badly they were sent to the hospital.And police did nothing. They weren’t even there.It was only after we set up the website, RiotStoppers.com, and asked the public to identify the rioters from videotape and photos that police laid charges. But they didn’t lay charges of rioting, or hate crimes. Just common assault.And at the sentencing hearing this week, the prosecutor didn’t even mention that it was an anti-Semitic rally. He was so clueless, the judge asked him if he needed more time to read the file.The prosecutor took a break and came back, just as useless as before. He didn’t even ask for jail time — just a few hundred dollars in fines for the rioters. The judge added on a requirement that they write an essay about the Charter of Rights. So that’s the law in Calgary: a mob of Muslim extremists can beat up a Jewish family so badly they are sent to the hospital. And they get a fine the size of a big speeding ticket, and a homework assignment.Calgary’s mayor doesn't care. The police chief doesn't care. The prosecutor clearly doesn't care. And the province’s Justice Minister doesn’t care.It’s just Jews being beat up in the streets — like this is Paris, France.
