The Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked two targets Tuesday afternoon in Lebanon, in the region near the border with Syria, Lebanese media reports.According to reports, there are casualties in both attacks, which were carried out in the mountainous ranges of Brital and Arsal.Hezbollah's official Al-Manar network has denied any airstrikes on its military targets, according to the Lebanese Daily Star.There have been conflicting reports from Lebanese security sources, with some denying the strike while others confirmed it and noted that it is not yet known whether there are any casualties.There is a possibility that the reported Arsal airstrike may have been confused with overflow from fighting on the outskirts of the same region, as the Daily Star reports that on Tuesday fierce fighting was taking place between Nusra Front - the Syrian affiliate of Al Qaeda - and Hezbollah.Nusra Front claimed it had killed several Hezbollah terrorists and seized their weapons from two military posts near the villages of Nahleh and Arsal.This is not the first airstrike the IAF has reportedly carried out on military targets over the Lebanese border recently, with rocket transfers from Iran to its Shi'ite terror proxy in Lebanon Hezbollah reportedly being hit in a series of strikes last month.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked two targets Tuesday afternoon in Lebanon, in the region near the border with Syria, Lebanese media reports.According to reports, there are casualties in both attacks, which were carried out in the mountainous ranges of Brital and Arsal.Hezbollah's official Al-Manar network has denied any airstrikes on its military targets, according to the Lebanese Daily Star.There have been conflicting reports from Lebanese security sources, with some denying the strike while others confirmed it and noted that it is not yet known whether there are any casualties.There is a possibility that the reported Arsal airstrike may have been confused with overflow from fighting on the outskirts of the same region, as the Daily Star reports that on Tuesday fierce fighting was taking place between Nusra Front - the Syrian affiliate of Al Qaeda - and Hezbollah.Nusra Front claimed it had killed several Hezbollah terrorists and seized their weapons from two military posts near the villages of Nahleh and Arsal.This is not the first airstrike the IAF has reportedly carried out on military targets over the Lebanese border recently, with rocket transfers from Iran to its Shi'ite terror proxy in Lebanon Hezbollah reportedly being hit in a series of strikes last month.
Among those reported strikes were hits on Hezbollah bound rocket launchers in the Qalamoun mountainous region as reported by Al Jazeera; the Qalamoun region has been a key weapons smuggling point between Syria and Lebanon.Just two days before that report a weapons convoy near Damascus bringing advanced rockets to Hezbollah was struck by the IAF according to Arabic media.

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) terrorist group's Palestinian National Council (PNC), tasked with managing ties with the International Criminal Court (ICC), is preparing to deal with lawsuits against Palestinian Arabs submitted by Israel at the ICC.On April 1 the Palestinian Authority (PA) joined the ICC in The Hague in breach of the 1993 Oslo Accords which formed the PA, seeking to use the court to attack Israel and accuse it of "war crimes" - however, the move also opened up the PA and those living under it to lawsuits at the court, such as terrorists of the leading Fatah faction who fired rockets at Israeli citizens in Hamas's terror war last summer.PNC member Mustafa Barghouti said that the Council's technical and professional groups have been ordered to do all they can to provide legal defense to every Palestinian Arab who is sued at the ICC.The PLO has good reason to do so; Israeli NGO Shurat HaDin (Israel Law Center) last year submitted lawsuits against Hamas and PA leaders for war crimes committed during Operation Protective Edge, including Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, PLO unity government Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, and senior Fatah members Jibril Rajoub and Majid Faraj.Barghouti added that the "state of Palestine" will on June 25 submit lawsuits against Israel for the "war crimes" of establishing Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and for its last counter-terror operation against Gaza terrorists. In July, an ICC delegation is to visit the PA-ruled territories as part of the lawsuit.Despite the claims of "settlements," the 2012 Levy Report proved that Israel's presence in Judea and Samaria is completely legal under international law. Turkey has forced nine Palestinians back into Syria after they tried to flee the war-torn country, according to the Action Group for Palestinians of Syria.The nine were attempting to reach refuge in Greece, but were arrested in the Turkish city of Izmir. After the arrest, they were sent back across the Syrian-Turkish border and ordered not to enter Turkey for at least one year. The refugees claim that they were not even given any documentation explaining why they were being deported.It is illegal under International Humanitarian Law (IHL) to return refugees to the place they are trying to escape, though there has been no international condemnation for Turkey's action. However, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and other groups have frequently criticized Israel for sending refugees and illegal immigrants to safe third-party countries, a legal action under IHL.Turkey has also come under criticism recently after an opposition paper published claimed that the Turkish government is selling weapons to Syrian rebels. Rather than provide proof of the charges' falsehood, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded by threatening the paper. Erdogan has modeled himself as a champion of the "Palestinian cause," regularly condemning Israel and even hosting several prominent Hamas commanders in Turkey. A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck just 110 kilometers (70 miles) northwest of Iran's Bushehr on Monday morning, rattling the Islamic regime's only operational nuclear plant.No damage or injuries were initially reported, according to the Associated Press.The center of the earthquake was located in the town of Emam Hassan, reported by Iran's official IRNA news agency, and the shaking began around 4:30 a.m. local time.The Bushehr plant is built to hold up even in earthquakes up to a magnitude of 8 on the Richter scale.It was built with Russian aid and became operational in 2011.This is not the first time the nuclear plant has been affected by an earthquake; back in 2013 a magnitude-6.1 quake killed at least 37 people in the same province as today's earthquake.One of the most lethal earthquakes to strike Iran hit back in 2003, when a 6.6 magnitude disaster wreaked havoc and left 26,000 people dead as it leveled the historic city of Bam in the southeast of the country.

On the sidelines of the Israel Day Concert in New York's Central Park on Sunday, former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton gave a rundown of Iran's nuclear program and the impending deal on curbing it, in an exclusive Arutz Sheva interview.While negotiations between Iran and world powers have reached an interim agreement ahead of a June 30 deadline for a final deal, Bolton predicts that the Iran negotiations are "doomed to failure.""I don't think Iran has any intention of giving up its efforts to get deliverable nuclear weapons," said the former ambassador. "Even if a deal is signed sometime in the summer I think the ayatollahs will violate it even before the ink is dry."Lending credence to those suspicions, top Iranian officials have said they will start using advanced IR-8 centrifuges that are 20 times as effective as standard ones as soon as a deal is reached, even as the US asserts a deal will limit the usage of advanced centrifuges. According to Bolton, the West doesn't have enough knowledge about Iran's covert nuclear program, nor does it possess any sufficient mechanism to monitor possible violations of a future deal, meaning such a deal will only "legitimize Iran's path to nuclear weapons."So why is US President Barack Obama so earnestly pressing for a deal with Iran? In Bolton's estimation his actions stem from a belief that negotiations can change the nature of the hostile Islamic regime, because Obama "is driven by an ideology that sees American influence as part of the problem, and if he can show the ayatollahs that we are no threat to them that they will happily give up their 30-year pursuit of nuclear weapons. I just think that's flatly wrong."Faced with the threat of a nuclear armed Iran, Israel will have to choose whether to strike Iran's nuclear facilities based on estimations that within the next 20 months Iran will be able to produce a nuclear arsenal.Israel must decide soon, he added, because once Iran has the bomb, "any attack would risk nuclear retaliation."In the case of an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear sites, the Jewish state will have Congressional pressure to help it against Obama's antagonism to such a development, according to Bolton. Ahead of such a strike it will need to stress how the attack is part of its legitimate right to self-defense, and after the strike it will need to resupply with US aid.

Iranian nuclear fuel stockpiles grew by a massive 20% over the past 18 months of negotiations between Iran and world powers, a report last month by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has revealed.
The report comes just one month ahead of the June 30 deadline set for the P5+1 powers and Iran to finalize a deal over Tehran's nuclear program.News that Iran has been busily expanding its stockpiles contradicts claims by US President Barack Obama that the Islamic Republic had "frozen" its nuclear program during the last year and a half of negotiations.Despite that, western leaders appear increasingly likely to accept a deal based on the April framework agreed in Lausanne, Switzerland.On Monday, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said he believes there is a good chance that world powers will reach a deal which would see Iran curbing its nuclear activities.The French minister said that an accord "must be perceived as sufficiently robust." The White House said Monday it is confident it can still pursue Iran nuclear talks despite Secretary of State John Kerry's injury over the weekend.Kerry left Europe for the United States earlier in the day, after breaking his leg in a cycling accident near Scionzier in France."We do continue to believe that we have the time and resources necessary to pursue, and hopefully complete, the Iran negotiations," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters, according to Reuters.Earnest stressed that Kerry would continue to play a critical role in the talks, although it was unclear exactly what his capacity to participate would be in the coming weeks.Iran and the six world powers are holding ongoing discussions aimed at turning a preliminary deal into a permanent one by a June 30 deadline.The sides made a major breakthrough at talks with Iran on April 2 by agreeing on the parameters for a final deal to scale back its nuclear capabilities, but still have a series of technical issues to resolve by the looming deadline.Washington made clear last week that it will not consider an extension to reach an agreement on curbing Iran's nuclear program, despite indications from France and Iran that talks may stretch into July.While world powers have talked about a gradual rolling back of sanctions against Iran's nuclear program, Iran has demanded that all sanctions be lifted immediately upon signing an agreement.
